I've been wanting to watch this movie for awhile now because I like the type of films Lou Taylor Pucci plays in and I was sure that Spring will not let me down. And because it didn't. I'm recommending it to you, guys!
Evan, a young man from the USA, loses his mother to cancer and is dodging the police (due to his involvement in a minor incident) and decides that it would be a good time to get out of town. Acting on impulsive, he flies to Italy, meets some people, goes on a road trip and winds up in a little town by the sea, where he meets Louise, a beautiful strange girl. The movie focuses on their blooming love during one week.

The story follows the old and overused outline -Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love with girl.- but with a spin. You, as a viewer, know there's something not right with the girl in the picture, so you kinda start feeling sorry for the boy. And things get weirder and weirder and you hope that it will lead to an satisfying ending but deep down, you know that this movie has the power to surprise you.
The newcomer, Nadia Hilker, does a great job in portraying Louise, the witty and seductive immortal (I have to say, I'm a bit smitten with her), and Lou Taylor Pucci's portrayal of Evan is sweet and charming. The dialogue is fascinating, the pace is slow but full of surprises and the story is refreshingly original. While it's tagged under "horror" and it does have a few horror elements, this is a Science Fiction romantic comedy. Spring is a great film to see with your significant other.
