Evan, a young man from the USA, loses his mother to cancer and is dodging the police (due to his involvement in a minor incident) and decides that it would be a good time to get out of town. Acting on impulsive, he flies to Italy, meets some people, goes on a road trip and winds up in a little town by the sea, where he meets Louise, a beautiful strange girl. The movie focuses on their blooming love during one week.
The newcomer, Nadia Hilker, does a great job in portraying Louise, the witty and seductive immortal (I have to say, I'm a bit smitten with her), and Lou Taylor Pucci's portrayal of Evan is sweet and charming. The dialogue is fascinating, the pace is slow but full of surprises and the story is refreshingly original. While it's tagged under "horror" and it does have a few horror elements, this is a Science Fiction romantic comedy. Spring is a great film to see with your significant other.
